on

Viscoelasticity of Polymers and Polymer Composites

The objectives of the following summer research project are based on the skills and interests of Mr. Francois Coupleux: Resume. Francois currently has a Baccalaureat E degree and is studying Computer Science, robotics and automatic control. In addition, he has demonstrated in interest in working with UNIX computing systems and network applications.

A previous NSF-STC SURP Summer (1993) Student developed a multimedia module on the topic of "Viscoelasticity". The objective of this summer project will be to create a web tutorial on viscoelasticity based on the information taken from the exisiting multimedia module on viscoelasticity. We hope to extend the interactivity of this web tutorial by using PV-Wave & JAVA. You can download a working copy of the multimedia module from our anonymous ftp site: ftp://ftp.sv.vt.edu/pub/NSF_summer_projects/summer_1993/Visc_Elas/. This file must be unstuffed and un-bin-hexed. When unstuffed these files include a player file that does not need any special software to run on a Macintosh running System 7.0 or higher. Double click on the file named "start".
